    On February 18th, 2019, VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) hosted “The 13th International Symposium of Fine Bubble Technology” at 19 Le Thanh Tong, Hanoi.

    Symposium overview

    Attending the Symposium were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi - Rector of VNU-HUS; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Son, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry; Dr. Toshihiro Fujita - Vice President of Fine Bubble Industries Association (FBIA) and numerous foreign scientists from the US, UK, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, China and other countries, as well as delegates from Vietnamese research institutes and universities.

    Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi - Rector of VNU-HUS gave the opening speech

    Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi delivered the opening remarks of the Symposium, saying that "VNU-HUS is ranked 124th in Asia in basic science and application-oriented research. The University is engaged in activities in promoting international cooperation with many partners from Europe, the United States and Asia. Advanced materials science and technology for green growth is one of the main research priorities of the University”.

    The Rector believes that “The 13th International Symposium of Fine Bubble Technology” is an important forum for participants to exchange ideas and explore opportunities for cooperation in Fine Bubble technology. “Through this Symposium, I hope scientists from the Faculty of Chemistry and Key Laboratory of Advanced Materials for Green growth (KLAMAG) will collaborate and elevate their research into Fine Bubble technology to a new level.”, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi said.

    The 13th International Symposium of Fine Bubble Technology is a major event with a focus on the scientific and technological aspects of Fine Bubble technology. It is a relatively new field of research, but one that has great potential for application in high-tech agriculture, organic agriculture and environmental treatment. There are opportunities to put this technology into action in Vietnam, in accordance with socio-economic foundation and conditions. Scientists are actively researching the application of Fine Bubble technology for medicine, electronic technology, surface cleaning and food technology, amongst other things.

    The seminar attracted the attention of many scientists from the US, UK, Japan, Korea, Singapore and China

    Vietnam is working with other countries as one of the pioneers in creating specific standards for Fine Bubble technology by becoming an O-member of ISO / TC 281 on Fine Bubble technology.

    In conjunction with the meeting of the Council of ISO / TC 281 held in Vietnam, VNU-HUS hosted The 13th International Symposium of Fine Bubble Technology. The Symposium is an opportunity for scientists from VNU and institutes nationwide, as well as a number of foreign universities, research institutes, companies (USA, Japan, England, Korea, China and Singapore) to share information and collaborate. The latest research results in the field of Fine Bubble technology were presented, encouraging this cooperation in research and training and to help research development at VNU. The workshop contributed to improving the position of VNU-HUS, establishing the university as a pioneer in the research and application of Fine Bubble technology, improving the level of research, and expanding international cooperation in training and research in this field.
